So, this is it. The last few days before a lot of us return to our brick and concrete schools. Some of you are just starting, some of you are scared, some of you just don't want to be alone in the big world that is high school. Just breathe, calm down, and remember:
It's a jungle out there, but you can tame it.
For every mean/bad teacher, there is one that you look forward to seeing everyday.
For every stupid cat fight you get into, you'll have friends to back you up.
For everyone you lose in the mess, you'll have another friend to make the next day.
For every mistake you make, there will be people who've made the same mistakes and can help.
You'll never be truly alone.
Juniors and Seniors make wonderful friends, and can help you when you need it the most.
You'll get into a ton of drama, but it'll get better as you get wiser.
People will change, for better or for worse.
You don't need a boyfriend/girlfriend, find joy in what you have, and what you want will come to you.
Stay classy, stay true to yourself.
I want everyone to remember this:
High School Is Temporary.
The mistakes you make, the fights you get in, will be forgotten. The boys that break your hearts, the girls that hurt you, they don't mean anything in the long run. You'll learn and grow up, you'll get wiser and become a better person. It's hard for a lot of people to understand, but you will. You'll lose friends, you'll get better ones. But all of the gossip, all of the rumors, all of the bad blood, it'll all go away. You won't remember that day you stained your white shirt and had to speak in front of the class later, you won't remember the girl that called you names. All the drama and all the pain won't even scar you. It'll all be alright.
It'll all be alright, I promise.
